I Need A Vacation

Current mood: bearmood — tired exhausted
Man, I am just too tired and lethargic lately. I heard a commercial on the radio the other day for Altovis and was tempted to call and order the free sample. I don't think I will, though. I need to address what's causing the fatigue — poor nutrition (Plus too much cola), not enough excercise, stress, worry, and lack of sleep. The stupid neighbor's dog that barks continuously from 6:50 am until his owner returns from work is hindering the sleep part. So do the neighbor's screaming kids bouncing on the trampoline outside our bedroom window.

Vending Machine

I just saw this Home Depot commercial on tv for a personal vending machine. Man, that would be really cool to have if I had a game room or something.

Garden Lost

Current mood: bearmood — thoughtful thoughtful
I think I may have discovered one of the reasns I've been so unhappy lately. It came to me as a dream last night. I NEED to garden. In my dream, I was digging, tilling, planting, weeding, watering and reaping the fruits of my labor. I felt accomplished. I was happy. I can't have a garden here. There's no room, the landlord is anal about water consumption, and the damned cats would dig in it anyway. I love hanging out at nursuries and picking out plants. I can't go now—it makes me terribly sad.

A Busy Bee

Current mood: bearmood — working accomplished
Sorry the updates have been so sporadic lately. I was totally run down after almost no sleep at the beginning of the week trying to finish the portfolio. I was so wound up Tuesday night that I couldn't sleep then, either. Wednesday and Thursday I felt really sick and even puked several times at work. Whee. I felt better after 12 hours of sleep on Friday, though. I'm feeling much better now.

My portfolio case turned out awesome! I got so many compliments on it. People couldn't believe that I made it myself from scratch. I'll post some pictures later.

I was going to work on my web page for school last night, but Mike and Nina came over. I made dinner then Nina and I had a good long talk while the guys gamed. That was good. I haven't seen her in a while. I can't believe her due date is five weeks away. It seems like yesterday that she told me she was pregnant.

Well, we got extra time to work on our Zen Garden sites since we had that snow day. I still don't think I have enough CSS knowledge to do it right, but I'll keep trying regardless. I was at the book store today trying to find a CSS guide, but they didn't have one. I guess I'll have to get one on Amazon when I have some extra cash. (Extra cash, lol, that's a good one!) Did you know they have a chess board set up at Barnes & Noble? I had never noticed it before. There were a couple of guys playing. I thought that was pretty cool.

OK, break is over. Back to work on learning CSS.

Saturday Wrap Up

Current mood: bearmood — working studious
Man, there is so much CSS stuff to learn. I think my brain is going to explode. The newest CSS Zen Garden design is a collaboration between David Shea and Eric Meyer. Turns out that the project is part of Eric's new book, "More Eric Meyer on CSS." While reading Eric's site, I read a post about how he believes that Frazz author Jef Mallett is actually reclusive Calvin and Hobbs creator Bill Watterson. Hmmm, it could be.

Had steak tonight at Chili's with Marcus, Mike & Nina. Yummay!

My portfolio case is almost ready to be painted! Yay!!! I'll get cracking on that first thing after work tomorrow. I'm just waiting for some wood filler to dry so I can sand it.

Per Laura's suggestion, I think I'm going to install MT Blacklist tomorrow. I had way too much spam in my comments this morning. That stuff so totally sucks.
